Harvested in the Atlas Mountains surrounding Marrakech in Morocco, the underground water is naturally pure, salty and very rich in natural minerals.


Salt workers dig wells to draw water to supply the salt marshes in the hollow of these mountains. This unique environment, exceptionally well exposed to the sun and wind, gives this fleur de sel a unique taste, both iodized and mineral. A unique marriage between Earth and Sea.

 

With its “Majorelle Blue” coloured jar, this mineral-flavoured fleur de sel pairs wonderfully with meats.

Fleur de sel is a finishing salt, which is put on dishes as a final touch, to preserve the nuanced flavours of the salt and its crystalline texture. Fleur de sel is not to be cooked and must be added off the heat, just before serving.

 

artisanal harvest

All fleur de sels are harvested by artisanal salt workers using traditional methods using lousse à fleur. They follow a natural drying process in the sun.
